Supported trade imports

Bring in trades without broker access.

Tradematic currently supports Topstep and Tradovate CSV workflows. Select the source, choose the export, preview detected trades, and import them into your journal.

TS

Topstep closed-trade exports

Tradematic reads completed trade rows with fields such as entry time, contract, direction, size, and PnL.

  • Closed trade rows
  • Direction and contract detection
  • Realized PnL import
TV

Tradovate filled orders

Tradovate order exports are paired into completed trades. Gross futures PnL is estimated from entry and exit prices before fees.

  • Buy and sell order pairing
  • Futures contract cleanup
  • Gross PnL estimation

Import safeguards

Preview before anything is saved.

The importer is designed to explain what it found instead of silently accepting a mismatched or incomplete file.

01

Source validation

If you select Topstep but upload a Tradovate export, Tradematic identifies the mismatch and asks you to choose the correct source.

02

Trade preview

Review accepted trades and rejected-row reasons before importing anything into the journal.

03

Duplicate detection

Likely existing trades are skipped to reduce accidental duplicates when the same file is imported again.

What if my platform is not supported?

Manual trade logging remains available. Tradematic does not claim universal CSV compatibility today. Support currently covers the tested Topstep and Tradovate formats, with more import sources planned as reliable sample exports become available.

Does importing require my broker password?

No. CSV import works from an exported file. Tradematic does not request your broker login, cannot access your live account, and cannot place trades.

Turn imported trades into a behavioral review.

CSV import is the starting point. Tradematic connects those results to psychology, execution quality, macro context, and next-session rules.
